- DC Input Power
The Bantam e-Station BC6DC is operated with DC power only. For AC operation a power supply of 11V to 18V with 100 watts of power or 8 amps is required. As a result it can charge up to 15 cells of NiCd/NiMH and up to 6S of Lithium batteries with maximum current of 5.0A or 80 watts, whichever ocuurs first.
- Balance individual cells on discharge
The BC6DC also can monitor and balance individual cells on Lithium batteries during the discharge process. If the voltage of any one cell varies abnormally, the process will be stopped with an error message.
- Accept various types of Lithium chemistries
The BC6DC can accept three types of Lithium batteries - Li-Ion, Li-Po lymer and Li-Fe aka LiFePO4 (like the A123 brand). They have different characteristics by their chemistry.
- Lithium battery 'Fast' and 'Storage' mode
'Fast' charge reduces the charging time of Lithium batteries and 'Storage mode controls the final voltage of the battery for long time storage.
- Data store/load
Up to 5 data memories. Each memory can be recalled at any time you need without reprogramming.
- Cyclic charging/discharging
Perform 1 to 5 cycles of charge>discharge or discharge>charge continually for battery refreshing and balancing.
- PC based analysis using USB communication
For the advanced user, the BC6DC offers a free program that can analyze the characteristics of the battery through the USB port, optional USB cable part # EAC400 is required. It shows a graph of voltage, current, capacity and temperature curves. It also shows the individual voltage of each cell in the Lithium battery pack.
- Robust outer aluminum case
High-quality aluminum case is durable and very efficient to cool out the internal heat
The Bantam e-Station BC6DC is operated with DC power only. For AC operation a power supply of 11V to 18V with 100 watts of power or 8 amps is required. - Individual voltage balancer for Lithium batteries buit in
The BC6DC has an individual cell voltage balancer built in. So it does not need an external balancer when charging Lithium batteries (LiIo/LiPo/LiFe) for cell balancing.
